You’re probably saying, “What the heck is that?” Well, my friend, it’s your holy grail when it comes to selling online courses from your own website. Literally, their platform helps people make 6 to 7 figures with online courses, and unlike most technology, it gets better with age. We’ll dig into a Kajabi review in a moment. First, let’s get into how to teach classes online.

In the beginning, the idea of creating and marketing an online course seems SO scary due to the overwhelm, but with a platform like Kajabi, there is no overwhelm. All you have to do is write out a list of steps you want to take, and start checking off the steps.
I use Trello to organize my lists. If you don’t know Trello, it’s a virtual pin board. I categorize my big ideas and add sub-categories underneath each big idea. It’s beautiful. It makes planning SO easy.

- Choose a skill that you have to offer. It could be related to life, career, or creativity. For me, it’s teaching and entrepreneurship. I help online ESL teachers establish a thriving career.
- Decide where you want to start delivering free content to people who’d be interested in learning about what you have to offer. This could be a blog, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, a podcast, etc.
- Build an e-mail list using an opt-in that provides valuable content for your viewers or listeners. This way you guys can stay in touch and you can offer them first dibs on whatever you create.
- Market your opt-in, which will lead to marketing your course.
- Launch your course.
However, despite the clarity this list provides, you’re still wondering where you’ll host your course and how you’ll get the software to create it. Let’s dive in! Actually, it’s pretty surface level because it’s very simple.

If you read my introduction you know the best course creation software is through Kajabi because you don’t need to be a tech wizard to use it. Their dashboard is straight-forward, easy as pie to use, and if you do get confused contact someone via chat.
Essentially, they do all of the tech work, you just fill in the information for your pages. They literally have everything. If you don’t have a blog or website, you can host it there. If you do have a website, all you’ll do is take the kajabi links from the pages you create and embed them in your site.

How to Create a Course
There are two main ways to create a course: 1) record yourself discussing your content, or 2) record an image and do a voiceover explaining the information. You could also do a combination of both.
If you’ve never taught before and want to know how to create the content for a course start with the end goal in mind. What do you want people to know by the time they finish your course? Come up with the main ideas you want your students to learn. Those main ideas will be your modules.
Next, have sub-categories for your main ideas. Those sub-categories will be the titles of the videos within a module.

Currently I can only offer my experience as a student with the Kajabi membership site. Overall it is user friendly. I’ve used it for 3 courses with three different creators: Kayse Morris, Rick Mulready and Jenna Kutcher. Overall, they are all user friendly and easy to navigate. You integrate your brand colors. Everything appears beautifully within your website, but it is hosted with a Kajabi domain that integrates your brand’s name. You can customize all links using whatever slug you prefer.
As a student, only one person’s course had difficult navigation back to the homepage. However, being that I was a student in two other Kajabi hosted courses, I think it had to do with the way the owner set up their course. In that sense, be cognizant of allowing the user to easily navigate back to the homepage of the course.
I have used Kajabi so far for pages. I have a landing page, thank you page and a sales page. They were the easiest pages I’ve ever set up in my life! The learning curve is the tiniest curve of curves. 😂
If you do happen to have any questions, you can speak with someone via chat and the wait isn’t long. I’ve tried the chat twice, but ended up figuring out the answers to my questions before I even had to talk to a representative.
So, if good customer service + ease of use + beautiful pages + integrating your brand colors doesn’t sell you on Kajabi, I don’t know what will.
